A free motorcycle riding companion that gets out of the way
Visor shows you where you are, where you're going, and where the people you're riding with are. It is built to be read and operated at a glance, with gloves on, from a handlebar mount, running on either iOS or Android.

Visor treats off-the-grid riding as a first-class requirement, and a lot of thinking goes into enabling each feature to work gracefully when no connectivity is available:
- Tracking records with no connection at all
- Routes you save load and navigate offline
- Downloadable offline maps are being worked on.
Offline screen recording
Importantly, all of the above is served through UI that's thoughtfully designed for riding in various conditions and circumstances while wearing gloves.
Coming next
- in progress Offline maps, downloaded before you leave and good with no signal
- Automatic crash detection
- Quick messaging ("I need gas", "I am tired", "Emergency")
- Audio navigation
- Routing that prefers curves
- A whole lot more
Not planned
- A social network for riders
- A place to find or browse routes
- A tracker with badges, streaks, or leaderboards
Visor is built for the time you're actually on the bike, with the gloves on. Anything outside of that is out of scope. If you disagree, please let me know.
Getting it
Visor is coming to the App Store and Google Play. Until the listings are live, write to ask@visor.cc and I'll get you into the beta.
Safety. Set your route before you pull away, and mount the phone where you can see it without turning your head. Rules about using a device while riding differ from one place to the next — follow the ones where you are. Visor is an aid, not a substitute for looking at the road, and you ride at your own risk.
